    A recent study by CareerBuilder shows one in four managers now search information on Google about potential employees. About 51% of applications were rejected because of what was found on the web.

    Here are a few examples of things managers found that caused them to dismiss the potential employee:
    • 31% lied about qualifications
    • 25% had poor communication skills
    • 24% was linked to criminal behavior
    • 19% had bad-mouthed their previous company or fellow employee
    • 19% posted info about them drinking or using drugs
