HKEPC has some more info about SiS's upcoming IGP chipsets. They heard that the SiS 673/772 will have support for DirectX 10 graphics.
As a competitor in the VGA market, SiS is trying every effort to improve its IGP products. According to SiS IGP’s roadmap, an upgraded version of Mirage 3, namely Mirage 3+ which is designed for Vista Premium, will be releasing in the soon future. In addition, the SiS’s next-generation Direct X 10 IGP will be put into production in Q307.

Mirage 3 IGP has been widely adopted in SiS IGP chipsets including 671/671FX for Intel platform and 771 for AMD platform. Compared with Mirage 2 IGP, the 3D capability has been greatly upgraded. The changes include upgrades of Direct X 8 to 9, Pixel Shader 1.3 to 2.0, OpenGL 1.4 to 1.5, 4 Texture Units to 16 Texture Units, 200MHz core to 250MHz. and 128MB shared memory to 256MB.

Although Direct X9.0 and WDDM Driver have already been supported in Mirage 3 IGP, supporting for Aero 3D GUI, Desktop Composition, Transparency Effect, 3D Filp Windows and 3D Animation, it still couldn’t pass Windows Vista Premium award.
