Commodore Gaming PC - first photos and info

Posted on Thursday, March 15 2007 @ 16:34:06 CET by Thomas De Maesschalck

The good old Commodore brand is coming back with a new line of high-end custom gaming PCs. On the right you can see an example of their Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 inspired gaming PC. Gamers will also be able to submit their own game art, artwork or photography, graffiti, ... to create a shiny custom case.

The Commodore gaming PC’s will come with a two-year warrant on parts and service. The models, from entry-level to high-end, are the Commodore Cg, Cgs, Cgx, and Cxx.

Here's a look at the specifications of the high-end Commodore Cxx:
  • Intel Core 2 Extreme quad-core processor
  • Asus P5N32-E nForce 680i SLI motherboard
  • Two 150 GB 10,000 RPM SATA drives in RAID 0, with a spare 500GB 7,200 RPM SATA drive
  • 4GB (2 x 2048) Corsair Dominator memory at 1066 MHz
  • Two nVidia 8800 GTX videocards
  • Creatve Labs X-Fi
  • Windows Vista Ultimate
  • Pricing details aren't available but it's safe to assume that these systems won't be cheap.
