Several big graphics suppliers choose for XGI

Posted on Wednesday, October 15 2003 @ 12:34:20 CEST by Thomas De Maesschalck

After Club3D several other big graphics card manufactors like Asus, CP, Gigabyte and MSI announced that they will ship XGI graphics cards in future.

These XGI-powered cards are expected to hit store shelves in late November at the earliest, sources added.

“We are indeed working with CP Technology and Gigabyte,” said Patrick Chang, corporate PR manager at XGI. “But we have no knowledge of deals with Asustek and MSI.”

The chip vendor in September introduced its Volari series, a complete graphics processor line consisting of four chips available in seven configurations. Chang said mass production is expected to begin in late October or early November. Full-year shipment targets are not yet available, he added.
