NVIDIA officially launched the GeForce FX 5950 Ultra and GeForce FX 5700 Ultra today, together with the launch of the ForceWare 52.16 drivers.
The new GeForce FX 5950 Ultra is the fastest GPU in the Company’s history. Manufactured using 0.13 micron process technology at TSMC, this new GPU combines extremely fast clock rates with a 256-bit memory bus. Designed to deliver cinematic-quality graphics and studio-quality color, the GeForce FX GPUs are the only full 128-bit precision computation GPUs in the industry. In addition, the GeForce FX 5950 and 5700 GPUs feature the NVIDIA CineFX™ 2.0 engine with NVIDIA UltraShadow™ technology, designed to improve the shader power that enables more complex effects, and to accelerate the rendering of lighting and shadows.
