SiS and PCTEL have announced a joint partnership to provide complete wireless solutions to consumers, using the SiS162 W-LAN chipset and Segue Soft Access Module (SAM) software. This solution is based on the IEEE 802.11x wireless standard.

The SiS162 applies the innovative MAC and Baseband core engine architecture and is designed to provide good performance with lower power consumption and enhances the advantages of robust system and cost-performance effectively. It is designed for the use on high volume mobile PC modules, Card Bus adapter cards, USB 2.0 dangles and build-in notebook systems.
