XGI is buzy developing its next graphics chip the XG45. It will include the same dual graphics chips design as with the current dual versions, and will have a similar architecture. It is planned to be PS3.0 compatible, and will be made by UMC.
And, in a plan to hedge against technological hurdles, the core allegedly will be simultaneously designed on both a 130 process and a 90 process.

The core speed of the graphics chip is dependent on the final process, and the tentative specs are to have a similar memory interface as the Volari chips, supporting both DDR and DDR2 memory.
The chip is expected to by ready in March, and if everything goes well first samples could be available in midsummer.
