At the end of March AMD is expected to release new AMD64 processors accompanied with the launch of the first Socket 939 motherboards. Expected is an AMD Athlon 64 3700+, in both Socket 754 and Socket 939.
The current plans show a 3700 in Q2, and a 4000 in Q3, with an as yet unrated one to follow in Q4. The corresponding Intel roadmaps show only a 3.8GHz in Q3 and a >3.8GHz in Q4. Time to start scaling the Prescott quickly boys, or you may be behind all year.
