GeForce GTX 280 slide confirms low idle power consumption

CJ leaked a slide at the Beyond3D forums that confirms the GeForce GTX 280 will use less power in idle mode than the G92 GPU.

The slide unveils the GeForce GTX 280 will consume 25W in idle, which is 20W less than the G92-based GeForce 9800 GTX. When watching a Blu-ray movie the GeForce GTX 280 uses 18W less than the GeForce 9800 GTX but in 3DMark the new chip uses 67W more. So basically in idle it will use a lot less while in load it will consume a lot more, but it will deliver a lot more FPS of course.

Imagine something like this on 55nm and a mobile chip? Cut down a few shaders and it might actually be a high end mobile gpu that is genuinely MOBILE. Have to say, didn't think Nvidia was going to manage mainstream and mobile lower power versions but it seems like they might have a chance!
