Leadtek GeForce GTX 280 Extreme arrives on Friday

Computer enthusiasts who absolutely want the fastest single-GPU graphics card will be glad to hear that you can buy something that's even faster than most overclocked GeForce GTX 280 cards. Overclockers.co.uk is listing a GeForce GTX 280 Extreme graphics card from Leadtek on its website and this part is a lot faster than every other GT200 card, even the watercooled EVGA GeForce GTX 280 is no match for this aircooled Leadtek card.

The Leadtek GeForce GTX 280 Extreme 1GB has a 738MHz core, 1666MHz shaders and 2520MHz memory clock. Regular GTX 280 cards have a 602MHz core, 1296MHz shaders and 2214MHz memory.

The card will be available on Friday, July 11 for £387.74 (incl. VAT) and has a 2-year warranty. The price is a bit higher than a standard GeForce GTX 280 but a lot cheaper than the price those overclocked EVGA cards are selling for.
