MSI has introduced a new HTPC motherboard: the MSI Media Live DIVA. This board features the AMD 780M IGP chipset and has a D2Audio DAE-3 intelligent digital audio amplifier chip, along with amplifier audio add-in cards.
Onboard D2Audio® DAE-3 Digital Amplifier
The DAE-3TM for Media PC solutions is the newest addition to the D2Audio® Digital Audio Engine TM family of Intelligent Digital AmplifiersTM. This DAE-3TM family of controllers has been specifically designed for use in Media PC’s. MSI now comes with the world's first “pure digital” Class-D amplifier controller which can be used in a THX Ultra2®-select performance-level Media PC amplifier. The biggest advantage of this amplifier is that because it is so small, it doesn’t take much space and it comes with build in power management so it reduces the heat.

Amplifier Audio Add-in cards
MSI Media Live DIVA supports the exclusive audio add-on card slot. Users can choose to install either a 7-channel pre-amplifier or a 5-channel x 100W amplifier card. Combined with the integrated DAE-3TM it provides a complete digital home entertainment solution.

Hardware High Definition Decoding
The MSI Media Live Diva uses the ATI Radeon™ HD 3200 graphics core that supports ATI Avivo™ HD Technology. Equipped with the latest Unified Video Decoder to support hardware decoding of high definition content, it ensures HD video formats such as H.264 / VC1 / MPEG2 can easily be decoded. It also enhances the efficiency of image processing, reduces the processor loading at the same time, and reduces overall power consumption up to 70%.

The 780M chipset comes with an additional 128MB side-port memory. It utilizes the high efficiency side-port memory that increases the 3D implementation performance up to 10%.

CPU support
MSI Media Live DIVA is based on AMD 780M chipset which is the mobile part with a low power footprint. AMD Phenom X4 quadcore CPU’s from 45W up to 95W are supported.
