Seagate unveils new firmware fix for Barracuda 7200.11 drives

Posted on Thursday, January 22 2009 @ 19:52:16 CET by Thomas De Maesschalck

Seagate unveiled a new firmware update for its Barracuda 7200.11 hard drives, you can get it over here.

Hopefully this update will fix the problem with the bricked Barracuda 7200.11 hard drives. The hard drive maker had released a patch last weekend, but had to take it down because many users were reporting data accessibility and read error problems after applying the firmware update.
