OCZ Z-Drive PCIe SSDs show up online

Posted on Wednesday, April 22 2009 @ 22:40:55 CEST by Thomas De Maesschalck

NOTE: Updated information can be found in this news article. The read/write speeds listed below are incorrect.

French webshop Material.net is listing three OCZ Z-Drive PCI Express solid state disks on its website; you can get it in capacities of 250GB, 500GB and 1TB at prices of 1,399.99EUR, 2,199.99EUR and 3,399.99EUR, respectively.

It's not cheap but these MLC-based PCIe SSDs promise read speeds of up to 510MB/s and write speeds of up to 410MB/s. They also have 256MB onboard cache.
