ATI RV870 delayed to Q4 2009

The ATI RV870 has reportedly been delayed, previous rumors talked about a July or August launch date but according to FUD Zilla this DirectX 11 part has slipped to the final quarter of this year.
This might mean that the original RV870 got canceled, and that the new DirectX 11 card will take over, simply as Nvidia is probably going directly to DirectX 11 in Q4, with its GT300.

ATI has launched two new cards based on RV740 and RV790, and we don’t expect anything new before back to school, which promises a quite boring Q2 and Q3. Lets hope Q4 will have some serious surprises.
Early rumors suggest the RV870 might be a 40nm tweak of the RV770 architecture with DirectX 11 support added.
