Posted on Tuesday, May 26 2009 @ 16:08:34 CEST by

Word is going around that AMD is planning to debut three DirectX 11 compatible graphics cards by the end of the year, this would include the high-end RV870, the dual-GPU R800 and the mainstream RV840. Possible there might also be a RV810 for the low-end market.
According to our information on hand AMD will introduce at least three DirectX 11 graphic chips within this year, two of them surely produced in 40 nm.

So the performance chip RV870 is followed by the dual chip R800. Additionally, the middle class chip RV840 is said to join the AMD portfolio this year.
