HP to put CULV hardware into old notebook designs
| |
Posted on Friday, May 29 2009 @ 18:42:17 CEST by Thomas De Maesschalck |
DigiTimes claims HP will initially launch CULV-based notebooks using chassis designs from existing notebooks before introducing ultra-thin designs in the final quarter of the year.
The strategy will enable HP to bring CULV-notebooks to market sooner, and will also help it to be price competitive compared to its competitor's ultra-thin notebooks such as Acer's new Aspire Timeline series, the sources noted.
