Electronista reports Crucial is going to release its 2.5" M225 solid state disks on July 20th. These models use MLC flash memory and will be available in 64GB, 128GB and 256GB versions. The 256GB one is the fastest disk, it features read speeds of up to 250MB/s and write speeds of up to 200MB/s.
Estimates put the peak performance of the fastest, 256GB drive at 250MB per second for data reads and 200MB per second for writes.

Alongside this largest capacity SSD, a 128GB version will ship with slightly lower 190MB per second write speeds, while a 64GB entry version will scale down to 200MB per second reads and 150MB per second when writing.
