FUD Zilla spotted that Acer has introduced a new notebook that features the 40nm NVIDIA GeForce GT 240M graphics card. The system is available for 799EUR.
The Aspire 5739G is powered by a Core 2 Duo P7350 at 2.00GHz, has 4096MB of memory and 320GB of storage, but more importantly, it packs a Geforce GT240M with 1024MB of memory.

The GT 240M packs 48 shaders, it runs at 550MHz for the core, 1210MHz for the shaders and 800MHz for the memory. Vendors will have a choice of DDR2 or DDR3, and the memory bus is 128-bit wide. It's a DX10.1 part, and it consumes 23W, making it suitable for chubbier notebooks, i.e. 15-inchers.
