SPEC to debut four benchmarks at Siggraph 2009

Posted on Thursday, July 30 2009 @ 14:51:05 CEST by Thomas De Maesschalck

Bright Side of News reports SPEC will unveil four new benchmarks at next week's Siggraph 2009 in New Orleans. Pictured below is a photorealistic-like scene from SPECapc for 3ds MAX 2010 benchmark, other new benchmarks are SPECapc for Maya 2009, SPECapc for LightWave 3D 9.6 and SPECviewperf 11.
SPECviewperf 11 is currently in alpha stage and will be demonstrated to the attending public for the very first time, but at press time, we had no information about the release date for the benchmark. In the light of both nVidia and ATI launching new workstation cards, we can't wait to lay our hands on these new benchmarks.
