    NVIDIA GeForce GT240 coming soon

Posted on Monday, September 07 2009 @ 02:20:07 CEST by Thomas De Maesschalck

Expreview reports NVIDIA will soon introduce the GeForce GT240, this card has 96 stream processors and was previously slated to be launched as the GeForce GT230. Cards based on this GPU will be available with GDDR5 or GDDR3 memory.
NVIDIA has decided to name the GPU as GeForce GT240 instead of GT230, and the chip is based on GT215. The number of stream processors should be 96, and you can expect two flavors which employ GDDR5 and GDDR3 respectively.
