Graphics card makers to raise prices?

Posted on Monday, September 28 2009 @ 17:03:20 CEST by Thomas De Maesschalck

DigiTimes heard graphics card makers are considering to increase graphics card prices due to GPU shortages from AMD and NVIDIA:
Graphics card makers are considering increasing graphics card prices due to shortage of GPUs from AMD and Nvidia, and increasing memory prices, according to a Chinese-language Apple Daily report.

Most high-end GPUs are suffering from shortages, some as high as 80%, which are unlikely to be solved before the end of October, the paper noted.
