Scythe debuts budget Katana 3 coolers

Scythe has introduced the Katana 3, a new budget cooler that will retail for $28 (14.75EUR, excl. VAT). To keep costs low Scythe has introduced two models, the Type A (SCKTN-3000A)) for AMD Socket 754/939/940/AM2(+)/AM3 and the Type I (SCKTN-3000I) for Intel LGA775/1156/1366. Both models feature six heatpipes and a 92mm fan that delivers up to 55.55CFM airflow at a noise level of 31.07dBA.
Katana 3 Type A is equipped with dedicated mounting clips set and it is compatible to current AMD® socket 754, 939, AM2(+), AM3 and 940. All features of Katana 3 CPU Cooler such as silent PWM controlled Scythe 92 mm fan, tool-free and easy to mount VTMS mounting clips, S.P.S. (Slant Pipe Structure) and F.P.S. (Fast-Phase Structure) are adopted to this model as well.

Katana 3 Type I is equipped with dedicated mounting clips set and it is compatible to current Intel® socket LGA775, LGA1156 and LGA1366. All features of Katana 3 CPU Cooler such as silent PWM controlled Scythe 92 mm fan, tool-free and easy to mount VTMS mounting clips, S.P.S. (Slant Pipe Structure) and F.P.S. (Fast-Phase Structure) are adopted to this model as well.
