NVIDIA Fermi benchmarks were fake

Nordic Hardware talked to NVIDIA and heard the GeForce GTX 300 benchmarks that are floating around the web are a complete fabrication:
They don’t match our own information and after talking to NVIDIA we can only conclude that they are very much fake. Someone simply took one of NVIDIA’s older roadmaps and edited it to present what looks like the two cards GeForce GTX 380 and GTX 360, in competition with Radeon HD 5970 and HD 5870.

NVIDIA who usually doesn't comment on product names was reluctant to discuss the identity of the cards , but the benchmarks are not real and are based on templates from old NVIDIA presentations. We won’t be linking to any of the possible sources, but will of course return when and if more reliable information surfaces..
