Imagination Technologies announced it has licensed communications and graphics processor core technology to SiS:
Imagination Technologies Group plc (LSE: IMG; "Imagination"), a leading multimedia and communications chip technologies company, has signed a license agreement with Silicon Integrated Systems Corp. (TSE:2363; "SiS"), a developer of leading-edge devices for the PC, communications and consumer multimedia embedded systems markets, for cores from Imagination's ENSIGMA UCC and POWERVR SGX families.

ENSIGMA UCC is an advanced multi-standard communications processor technology for demodulation and connectivity. POWERVR SGX is the leading graphics acceleration technology for mobile and embedded devices.

SiS will deploy the technologies in its future semiconductor devices.

Under the terms of its licensing arrangements Imagination receives licence fees and royalty revenues on shipment of chips incorporating Imagination's IP.
