MSI reveals the N460GTX HAWK "Talon Attack", a new graphics card with the Twin Frozr II cooler solution, 0.4ns memory, 810MHz GPU clockspeed, 1620MHz shaders and 2GB GDDR5 clocked at 3900MHz.
Following the launch of the successful N460GTX Hawk, world renowned motherboard and graphics card maker MSI is proud to extend the Hawk product line with the N460GTX Hawk “Talon Attack.” Thanks to its excellent overclocking ability and MSI’s unparalleled cooling solution, Twin Frozr II, the N460GTX Hawk Talon Attack is already a favourite with media around the world. The new N460GTX Hawk Talon Attack comes with super high-speed 0.4ns graphics memory and increased default clock speeds; 810 MHz GPU clock, 1620 MHz shader clock and 3900 MHz memory clock. In 3DMark Vantage, the N460GTX Hawk Talon Attack is able to surpass a reference GeForce GTX470. PC Enthusiasts who are looking for an excellent price/performance package should not miss out on this latest gem from MSI.

Overclocked and ready to attack
The newest addition to MSI’s Hawk line-up, the N460GTX Hawk Talon Attack graphics card, is equipped with super-fast 0.4ns graphics memory and is overclocked out of the box to 810 MHz core, 1620 MHz Shader core and 3900 MHz memory clock. This places the MSI N460GTX Hawk Talon Attack above a reference GTX470 in today’s most popular benchmark, 3DMark Vantage. Combining the N460GTX Hawk Talon Attack with MSI’s exclusive Afterburner version 2 overclocking software, it allows for even greater performance improvements. Triple Overvoltage can be applied to the GPU, memory and PLL while V-Check Points allow for easy readouts of the voltages with a voltage meter. 7+1 PWM power design and Active Phase Switching technology

When compared to the 4+1 PWM design on the reference card, which only supplies power up to 90A in graphic cards at the same level, 7+1 PWM design of the N460GTX Hawk not only supplies power up to 120A for the GPU to enhance GPU stability and performance in overclocking session, APS technology can automatically reduce the power consumption according to the GPU’s workload.

Exclusive Twin Frozr II dual-fan thermal design
With its large two 8cm fan design, four heat-pipes with SuperPipe technology and a large-area nickel-plated copper heat-sink, the MSI-exclusive Twin Frozr II thermal design can effectively and efficiently dissipate heat produced from the GPU. When compared to the reference cooler, the Twin Frozr II can effectively reduce the GPU temperature by 18°C and fan noise by 8.1dB to deliver a cool and quiet computing environment.

Military Class Components: Longer Life And Greater Stability
In addition to using All Solid Caps, which enhances overclocking performance, the card also comes with Super Ferrite Chokes (SFC) to enhance power efficiency by up to 10% and output current by up to 30%. The MSI N460GTX Hawk also comes with Hi-c CAPs with tantalum cores which improves the GPU power supply to increase the graphics cards overal lifespan as well as the stability of the GPU.
