Windows XP Professional x64 Edition to ship on April 29

Posted on Tuesday, April 26 2005 @ 00:28:08 CEST by Thomas De Maesschalck

HardOCP writes that the ship date of Windows XP Professional x64 Edition is Friday, April 29th. Two to five business days later system integrators should have their copies of the 64-bit Windows XP.

To be able to receive Windows XP Professional x64 Edition you will need a computer ordered between March 31, 2003 and July 31, 2005 with Microsoft Windows XP Pro 32-bit preinstalled running on an Athlon 64, AMD Opteron, Intel Pentium 4 with EM64T or Intel Xeon with EM64T
