Notebooks outsell desktops in the US

Last month notebooks outsold desktop computers in the United States for the first time ever. Notebook sales accounted for 53 percent of the market, up from 46 percent during the same period one year earlier.

The increased demand for notebooks is caused by the overall price drop. While notebook prices fell 17 percent during the last year desktop prices only decreased with 4 percent. More info at Yahoo
