Competition in the graphics card market is heating up as AMD cuts the pricing of some of its Radeon HD 7800/7900 graphics cards to make them more attractive versus NVIDIA's newly introduced $299 GeForce GTX 660 Ti.

Here are the price cuts:
  • Radeon HD 7850 1GB drops from $229 to $189

  • Radeon HD 7850 2GB drops from $259 to $209

  • Radeon HD 7870 2GB drops from $299 to $249

  • Radeon HD 7950 3GB drops from $349 to $319
  • These price cuts will go into effect later this week, and in a few weeks AMD the Radeon HD 7800 will be bundled with Sleeping Dogs, a new open-world action/adventure game developed by United Front Games. NVIDIA on the other hand teamed up with Gearbox to offer a free copy of Borderlands 2 with its GeForce GTX 660 Ti. These promotions are done at a retail level though, shops like Newegg typically participate in these actions but others may not.
