AMD announced it will host a press conference in San Francisco on Monday, October 29 to provide updates on the company's "ambidextrous strategy". Speaking at the event will be CEO Rory Read, Senior Vice President and GM of Global Business Units Lisa Su and a surprise guest.

What will be announced at the meeting remains a mystery, but my guess is part of the strategy will involve the further adoption of the ARM architecture to target markets that AMD can not currently address.
AMD (NYSE: AMD) today announced that President and Chief Executive Officer Rory Read, and Senior Vice President and General Manager Global Business Units Lisa Su will host a news conference to provide updates and more detail on the company’s ambidextrous strategy. The news conference will take place in San Francisco on Oct. 29, commencing at 1:30 p.m. PDT.

The news conference is for invited attendees; however a real-time audio and video webcast of the presentation can be accessed on the AMD Investor Relations home page: ir.amd.com. A live Twitter feed can also be followed at both @AMD_Unprocessed and #AMDFeed.

A replay of the webcast can be accessed approximately 24 hours after the conclusion of the live event and will be available for 30 days after the conference.
