Intel predicts Broadwell Android tablets for under $500 in 2015

FUD Zilla reports Intel expects to see Broadwell-based Android tablets with Full HD screen with a price tag of under $499 in 2015. There will also be Bay Trail-M and T versions with more modest specifications, these will sell in the $179 to $249 range and will have a 1366 x 768 pixel screen.
In the $299 to $499 market Intel plans to offer Bay Trail-T or Bay Trail-M processors in 2014. It will transition to Cherry Trail, the next generation Atom, upon availability. According to Intel's plans the upgrade to the new platform processors will happen in 2015 and besides Cherry Trail Atoms, Intel plans to introduce this tablet version with Braswell Atom, a 14nm architecture for entry level systems.

This tablet has to be thinner than 10mm and it comes in detachable form. The reference screen size varies from 9.6 inches to 12.5 inches. The tablet comes with 4GB of RAM and it has 32GB or more storage. It can even come with an optional SSD. The tablet is required to have at least 8 hours of battery life if not more and the screen has to be 1920x1080. This tablet ships with WiFi, Bluetooth and WWAN options and with prices ranging from $299 to $499, it can cover a range of segments.
