AMD officially launches the A10-7870K APU

AMD introduces the A10-7870K, its new "Godavari" desktop APU. This 95W TDP quad-core Kavari-based chip has eight Radeon R7 graphics execution engines and is made on a 28nm process. It's basically a slightly faster version of the A10-7850K, with a 3.9GHz base clock, 4.1GHz Turbo and 866MHz GPU frequency. The MSRP is $139.

The new processor also delivers exceptional performance in modern workloads and is designed for the future with Microsoft Windows® 10.

The A10-7870K APU is available at e-tail now at a suggested price (SEP) of US $137, and through participating system builders.
