A new slide deck from an AMD investor presentation narrows down the launch date of the Vega enthusiast-class GPU to sometime in the first half of 2017.

There were some rumors about a launch in October 2016 but it seems these whispers were completely false. Previous AMD roadmaps hinted at a Vega launch in early 2017, so the more general "first half of 2017" statement suggests the chip is delayed.

Vega is expected to feature HBM2 and promises a better performance/Watt ratio than the Polaris lineup.
