Intel's Napa to feature Matrix RAID for notebooks

Laptops are becoming more advanced, with longer battery life and more performance but some desktop features are still lacking. One of these is RAID, and that's exactly what Intel showed off at the IDF! RAID technology for notebooks.

The next version of Centrino, codenamed Napa, will feature Intel's Matrix RAID technology, enabling notebook manufacturers to build notebooks with four hard drives with dynamic system rebuilding on drive failure, or faster performance via striping. More details and picture at Bit Tech
