AMD cuts processor prices

Like expected AMD today lowered the pricing of its Athlon 64, Athlon 64 X2 and Turion 64, Sempron and mobile Sempron processors.
In contrast, prices for its Opteron, Athlon 64, and Athlon 64 FX CPU lines remain unchanged. The AMD Athlon 64 CPUs for desktop replacements was no longer listed on the CPU price list released by the chip vendor.

Socket-A and Socket-754 Sempron processors have also been removed from AMD’s price list, as well as the Athlon 64 3000+/ 2800+ and mobile Athlon 64 2800+.
Full details about the reductions can be found at DigiTimes.
