Re: Microsoft fights GIANT against spyware crap (Score: 0) by Anonymous on Sunday, January 09 2005 @ 01:53:54 CET
Sheesh. "Microsoft fights GIANT?" No, MS bought GIANT.
"Until last year"? That makes it sound like this happened a year ago, when it was only a couple of weeks ago. MS just released its Microsoft Antispyware program THIS WEEK. GIANT is also STILL a provider of antispyware and security programs -- they just do it under Microsoft's umbrella now.
"Back then," meaning Dec. 16, 2004? No, it was before that. Gates was talking about the spyware threat as early as July 2004. The December purchasing of GIANT was just the culmination.
"Acquirement"? No, acquisition.
"Near-team relief"? What does that mean? This was a wise purchase and it will serve Microsoft not only now, but in the long term.
"Downloaded Microsoft"? You forgot the "from."
