If American Globalists or Manifest Destinists or whatever y'all call yourselves these days really want to achieve Deep Integration, then you're going to have to learn more about the country you wish to absorb. You're going to have to respect the people that live there, and convince them that there is a better reason for it than simply looking hungrily at their natural resources.
Unfortunately for you, your foreign policy has laid your agenda bare for all to see, so much so, that the benign transition you were hoping for, based on linked infrastructure, will now have to be bolstered by military intervention, which will culminate in a full on invasion in the fall of 2009.
