    Native American, meaning native to the Americas not the United States. Aztecs can be considered Native Americans.. but then again, none are really Native to the America's. If we trace back far enough, all on the american continent have traveled across the arctic ice shelf 40000 years ago.

    Considering Canada's federal department dealing with natives is called Indian and Northern Affairs, not inappropriate at all.

    Since when is Indian inappropriate? All of the "Native Americans" that I know (which is many) prefer to be called Indians or Natives. Is someone overly sensitive, maybe??
