Re: Microsoft fights with a GIANT against spyware crap (Score: 0) by Anonymous on Sunday, January 09 2005 @ 06:50:00 CET | | This is a common concern, but nevertheless I am optimistic about this, because first, GIANT's solution was/is the best -- better than Spybot and Ad-Aware, and secondly, Microsoft does have security holes but so does every other OS and browser including the Mac and Firefox. They just don't get hit because nobody cares about hitting a miniscule number of people compared to Microsoft's established base. Give them a little credit for making a couple of good purchases -- GIANT and GeCad -- and for not messing up GIANT's software (at least thus far). MS Antispyware is essentially exactly the same product as GIANT Antispyware was before it was bought. |
