Cooler master
Cooler Master was founded with the mission of providing the industry's best thermal solutions. Since its establishment a decade ago, the company has remained faithful to this mission, emerging as a world leader in products and services for companies dealing with devices where heat issues must be resolved. Today we take a look at Cooler master Alloy Front Bezel for CD/DVD-ROM/RW. It’s one of the newest products of Cooler master, so let’s begin with reviewing it !
Introduction
Last time Cooler Master had released the Alloy Front Bezel to solve the difficulty to match the faceplate colors of your drive to your alloy chassis. This time Cooler Master has learned the demand from users and releases the black color version that will bring great news to any black chassis owners.
Features
Special design Alloy Front Bezel that fits most CD/DVD-ROM/RW
Using genuine 3M double-sided tape
Best matched with any black alloy chassis
Stealth your drives !!
Installation
The installation of the Alloy Front Bezel is rather easy, but you must do it very correctly, otherwise you can’t open your drive. Here is the procedure you have to follow:
Clean your drive’s surface with detergent and dry the surface completely
Carefully peel off the double-sized tape for outer rim
Carefully stick the double-sized tape onto the back of the Alloy Front Bezel
Stick the double-sized tape onto the eject button bezel
Without removing the top sheet of the double-sized tape, place the eject button bezel on your drive’s eject button
Examine the Alloy Front Bezel together with the eject button bezel ( If the eject button can’t be pressed down like original, remove the double-sized tape and try again, this should solve the problem
Now remove the top sheet of the double-sized tape of the outer rim. Carefully stick the bezel onto the front panel of your drive with the eject button in it. Plug in the power cord for your drive; check the eject button and tray mechanism to make sure that they can function properly. Do not apply any pressue yet! If the eject button does not function correctly, gently lift up, adjust button’s position and try again
Now check your tray type :
1. If the front panel of the tray is flat, stick the double-sized tape on both sided tape on both side’s of the tray in vertical direction
2. If the front panel of the tray is curved, stick the double-sided tape in the middle section in horizontal direction. Stack the tape twice and add thickness is necessary
Stick the tray bezel against the upper edge of the frame added and weight may lower the tray when retracting
Check if everything is working properly. Apply pressure to secure
Testing – What do you get?
First, I checked everything in the packet. You get a Eject button, a Front Bezel, a drive tray, and double-sized tape. The application guide is really simple, so you can easily install the Alloy Front Bezel. I had no problems with installing the Alloy Front Bezel, but you have to do it very correctly. If you paste the tape a bit of the Alloy Front Bezel, you can’t open the CD/DVD-ROM/RW drive. Because the tray is pulling against the tape, and the tape holds it. So double check is necessary. For the rest, I didn’t have any problems.
It looks nice and you have a silver and a black version( the review is with the black version). Black case owners now can make there case complete black, because the most guys have a white CD/DVD-ROM/RW player.
Conclusion
The Alloy Front Bezel from Cooler Master is a really nice thing to have. It looks good, and it exists in a silver and a black version ( review is done with the black version ) . It fits perfectly with black case users, so they have a completely black alloy Front Bezel. The installation is easy, but you have to do it very correctly. The packet is hard to open, you can’t close it again because it’s broken with opening it. A simple application guide is included, so you can’t make any mistakes. A very good product from Cooler Master, they surprised us again!
