What do you get- first thought’s
When you buy the Xdream SE you get the fan with heat sink, PCI slot, 3.5”bay slot, some heat sink thermal paste, multilangual installing guide and some screws. Good stuff at first view, so I didn’t expect many problems with installing the Xdream SE.
Installing and testing
While I did the installation I didn’t have many problems. I plugged on the heat sink, and I used the PCI slot ( I don’t have a free 3.5” bay ). I made to cooler working and the results were really perfect! With the 62.1 CFM at 4800 rpm, the overclocking adventure started! I had 300 Mhz more and no big problems. With the 4800 rpm it’s just a bit to noisy, so I controlled it to, I think, 2500 rpm .A few hours later I tested the cooler with the 3pin-connector, and everything worked perfect as well. Almost NO sound on 2000 rpm, But it becomes noisier if you have it at 3000 rpm. All over the cooler there are nice Cooler Master logo’s and the weight of the cooler is 0,640 kg. I almost can’t find negative points about it.
Conclusion
The Xdream SE is really a thing to have! A better edition of the Xdream! You can control the speed external, on PCI bracket or 3.5” drive. This is really the #1 overclokers’ choice! You can easily overclock with 300 Mhz! I didn’t have any problem with the installation, it was just hard to open the packet. You’re a happy man when the packet is open ;-) . So the Xdream SE is really nice, you surely have to think about to buy one. You won’t regretted your choice !
