Shuttle XPC SB95 V2 SSF Review

Posted on Saturday, July 30 2005 @ 22:06:49 CEST by LSDsmurf

The second coming of Shuttle's XPC SB95 is as minor an upgrade as the 'V2' nomenclature appended to the end of its original name to differentiate from its predecessor. This change was necessitated by Intel's update to its 925X chipset when the newer 925XE was introduced, supporting an increased maximum front bus speed from 800MHz up to 1,066MHz. The only caveat is that your Pentium 4 processor must of course support the higher speed. While the SB95P V2 is geared for the high-end Extreme Edition Pentium 4 processor, chances are end users would likely choose a cheaper Prescott Pentium 4 to take advantage of the overclocking potential of the chipset.
