    DFI nF4-DAGF Motherboard Review

Posted on Tuesday, August 30 2005 @ 16:42:26 CEST by LSDsmurf

XR's Senior European Hardware Reviewer Grace had the opportunity to evaluate DFI's entry into the lower cost, bang for the buck enthusiast segment, the nF4-DAGF. Lets see if low price AND great overclocking can go hand in hand.

The name DFI has been present in the market as a computer components manufacturer since the early eighties, the very time that the term ‘Home PC’ began to exist. Yet they were not well known in the enthusiast cycles until a couple of years ago, when they made a big move in the enthusiast/overclocker market and took the highest percentage of the AMD motherboard market aimed to enthusiasts by storm. Their Lanparty and Infinity motherboards set new standards for overclockers, tweakers and case modders. Today I have a different kind of motherboard from DFI, the nF4-DAGF, which is a very basic motherboard, focusing only on delivering the basics and good overclocking capability to the end user at a very aggressive price. Let us see what it can offer to enthusiasts (or want to be enthusiast) that also like to keep the best price/performance ratio possible for their systems.
