Corsair XMS4400 TwinX Memory Kit Review

Posted on Wednesday, April 07 2004 @ 14:49:07 CEST by LSDsmurf

The kit is composed of two matched CMX512-4400 512MB memory modules, for a combined total of 1GB addressable memory. Underneath the black heat spreaders of each CMX512-4400 modules are 32M * 8 (32M x 8 x 2) DDR SDRAM IC's. I was unable to get confirmation from the Corsair website but I believe these are Hynix IC's. Corsair tests both CMX512 memory modules by installing them in an Asus P4C800-E motherboard and pushing each chip to a 275MHz FSB. These matched memory sticks are submitted to a battery of tests that stresses every component of the memory.
