Evercool Sharks Heatpipe CPU Cooler Review

Posted on Wednesday, December 14 2005 @ 09:06:10 CET by LSDsmurf

Today for review I have something that really surprised me in its performance. I have an Athlon X2 and it requires a very competent cooling solution to keep it cool. The stock solution is fine but just does not cut it for overclocking and I do a bit of that when I do reviews. When I got it, I knew the stock solution was not going to work for me, so with it I ordered an after market cooler as well. It was fine for a while but not great, so of course the next logical step would be water cooling. Being a reviewer means that I get new stuff all the time and things don't stay in my system for long, and water-cooling is nice but a pain to keep uninstalling and reinstalling. For review today I have the Evercool Sharks CPU cooler, this is going back to basics for me really. It is a heat pipe based system with some great results in what it can achieve in the way of cooling.
