ATI AVIVO. Part 0: Introduction and Description of Video Technologies Review

ATI AVIVO is a set of ATI video technologies, intended for further
improvement of quality and performance of the existing proprietary
technologies from this company. It includes a great number of various
technologies, implemented in the new series of RADEON X1000 video
chips. AVIVO is notable for its wide applicability, it's not just an
improvement of a certain pipeline stage that processes video. This
suite in designed to improve all the stages.
AVIVO is constantly evolving and will evolve in future. We'll review
practical aspects of these technologies at the maximum wide angle.
