    Preview: NVIDIA GeForce 6800 Ultra Review

    Fans of NVIDIA graphics cards can now rejoice and the company has just announced the release of the new GeForce 6800 Ultra. Known to the inquisitive public by the codename: NV40, this new architecture is intended to significantly raise the bar for performance and image quality. For the last year, we have seen some exceptional cards from both NVIDIA and ATI. However, with the wave of intensive next generation games such as Doom3 and Half-Life2 on the horizon we realize that a significant step forward is necessary in order to have acceptable framerates with the type of image quality one would expect from a flagship card. Thankfully, it appears as though NVIDIA is intent on meeting these expectations as the brief period of time we have spent with the GeForce 6800 Ultra has left us thoroughly impressed
