    NEC Versa S5200 Centrino Duo notebook Review

    By conventional wisdom gained from past experiences of a platform refresh, the new 'Napa' Centrino platform powering the Versa S5200 should put a healthy distance between itself and previous generations of Intel Centrino platforms in computing performance. When 'Sonoma' (the second generation) was officially unveiled to replace the aging 'Carmel' (the first generation), the performance ceiling was immediately raised quite substantially. Naturally, the answer we are looking to seek through this review is of course whether the third generation Centrino platform would be able to maintain that upward curve of computing performance while being able to offer mobility at the same time..
