Gigabyte Gmax CA2 and Soltek Qbic 3401a Review

Posted on Friday, June 18 2004 @ 16:21:12 CEST by LSDsmurf

We've been taking a look at a few SFF systems this week here at Neoseeker including Gigabyte's G-Max CA2 and Soltek's Qbic 3401a. The CA2 is small even by SFF standards and the compact size sacrifices a PCI slot but the connectivity of the CA2 is second to none - it is the only SFF we look at that has a MMC reader. Soltek takes a different approach with a more rotund looking SFF system in the 3401a. Its size allows it to house 4 drives in total including 2 5.25s something that is generally unheard of in the SFF realm. Hook that up with a BIOS that allows overclocking (remembering that this is a SFF) and a great bundle including apps that are actually useful including DriveImage and Partition Magic, and Soltek may have THE SFF box for enthusiasts.
