Silverstone SST-ST46F Lowest Acoustic Power Supply Review

Posted on Saturday, June 19 2004 @ 13:08:35 CEST by LSDsmurf

Recently, I had the pleasure of reviewing the Swiftech H2O-8600 water cooling kit. One of the things that most impressed me about that kit was its whisper quiet operation. I’ve always been one of those guys who had to have a screaming fan in my case, whether it be a long ago 60mm Delta, or my most recent 92mm Tornado. When I found out that the Swiftech kit was that silent, I thought, hmmm…. I could do with more of this. So when Tommy mentioned a quiet power supply was available for review, I went for it. It sounded like the perfect combo for my newly quieted box. A couple days later, the SST-ST46F from Silverstone showed up at my door. Silverstone have been turning out some excellent cases and power supplies recently, so let’s get a closer look at this new unit.
