MSI NX8800GTX Review and Mixed-Vendor SLI Review

Posted on Tuesday, January 23 2007 @ 15:09:00 CET by Thomas De Maesschalck

We have finally completed a follow-up review of the MSI NX8800GTX. In addition to reviewing the graphics card in a single GPU configuration, we also pair it up with a second GeForce 8800 GTX to form a mixed vendor SLI configuration. The review is packed with single GPU and SLI benchmarks at resolutions of 1920x1200 and 2560x1600 with various levels of antialiasing in F.E.A.R., Far Cry, Half-Life 2: Lost Coast, Half-Life 2 Episode One, and Dark Messiah, which is new to our list of benchmarks. Gameplay performance is tested in Quake 4 as well as a couple of new titles that include Gothic 3 and Neverwinter Nights 2. Throughout the review are plenty of high resolution screenshots for your viewing pleasure, a plethora of interactive image quality comparisons and video clips that demonstrate our walkthrough's in Dark Messiah, Gothic 3, and Neverwinter Nights 2.
